| Due to some people from out of town inquiring about this years Vette Fest, it was brought to our attention to have a message on the Event Calendar explaining that due to economic reasons Vette Fest has been cancelled. FILL THE BACKPACK 07/06/2010 - 08/07/2010 |
| Hello Club Members!! We are doing the "Fill the Backpack" again this year. We have backpacks to donate for the beginning of the year. All we need now are the supplies to fill them with. We had such a great response last year and the donations were greatly appreciated by those we donated to. We would like to have all of the school supplies by the Augugst meeting so we can get them to the kids before school starts. Here is a list of basic needs of elementary students per student. #2 lead pencils, Box of crayons (16 or more), White school glue (8oz or less with orange cap), Large pink eraser and pencil cap erasers, Ruler 12" with metric scale, Spiral or wireless notebooks 70-100 pages each (wide and college ruled), Package of 3 holed wide ruled paper, Pair of pointed scissors, Red Pencil for correcting, 4 folders with pockets, Box of facial tissue, Set of water based felt markers, Colored pencils. | Meet Saturday morning in the Idaho Center parking lot on Idaho Center Blvd. in Nampa with a 9 AM departure.
Come join us for a fun cruise to Joseph, Oregon. We are stopping at Baker City for lunch at the Geiser Grand Hotel, as well as take in the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center before heading on to Enterprise, Or. There may be some rooms left if you would still like to join us in Joseph. If so, call 1-541-426-4535 and tell them that you are with the Boise Corvette Club. For your entertainment there is a BRONZE, BLUES AND BREWS FESTIVAL in Joseph that weekend. If you are interested check out the website at Eventcoordinator@bronzebluesbrews.com. They will start selling tickets for the festival around June 10th. They are hoping to have a bus that stops in front of our lodging to take you to the festival so you won't have to drive your Vette. Joseph is a wonderful little town with lots of shops, galleries and cute little eating establishments geared just for the tourists.
Sunday we will have a leisurely breakfast arranged at "The Mountain Air." We have a room reserved just for us and then drive out to Willowa Lake and make the loop up in the mountains and back down to Cambridge or Midvale for lunch and then on home. Fall Color Tour 10/01/2010 - 10/03/2010 |
| Leave Boise Outlet Mall at 8:00 am Friday Oct. 1st. Lunch is at Maddox in Brigham City. Tour Sardine & Logan Canyons. Raspberry shake break at Bear Lake. Tour Monte Cristo to Huntsville, Utah. Over Trappers Loop to East Canyon & down immigration Canyon then to Marriotts on east end of U of U campus. Dinner to be decided.
Saturday morning leave hotel at 8:00 am and drive to Lehi & around Mt. Timpanogas through Aspen Loop past Sundance Ski Resort to Provo Canyon, visit Bridal Veil Falls, then drive to Payson, Utah for lunch. Drive the Mt. Nebo Loop and back up I 15 to Salt Lake City or if time permits drive up to Provo Canyon to Heber City for ice cream, then down Parley's Canyon to Marriotts. Dinner to be decided.
Leave Marriotts Sunday Oct. 3rd at 9:00 am and drive up Immigration Canyon, through East Canyon over Trappers Loop. Brunch is at upper Lodge at Snow Basin Resort (ride tram up) then head for Boise.
For all of you Boise State Fans - Bob has checked and they play in New Mexico that Saturday. Earlier start date this year to try & foil Mother Nature.
